Panhellenic Association President to Represent Her Sorority in Washington, D.C.
Jamie Collins, current Panhellenic Association President and member of a sorority has been selected to attend the Congressional Hill visits in Washington, D.C. April 12-16, 2008. Jamie was one of only two women selected by her national sorority out of the over 300 applicants. Jamie will participate in educational sessions and break-out groups on such topics as Standards, Government Affairs, and Hazing. In addition, the Collegiate Housing and Infrastructure Act will be discussed. Part of her experience will also include listening to guest speakers, a tour of the White House, the Capital and other Washington, D.C. points of interest.
Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity Wins Free Throw Contest
Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity beat Sigma Chi Fraternity to claim the Papa John's Free Throw tournament hosted by Redbird Athletics at the men's and women's basketball games during the 2007-2008 season. For their efforts, they will receive $550 for their organization. A special thank you to all the chapters who showed their Redbird Spirit and participated: Alpha Delta Pi, Alpha Phi Alpha, Alpha Tau Omega, Delta Delta Delta, Delta Zeta, Gamma Phi Beta, Pi Beta Phi, Tau Kappa Epsilon, Zeta Phi Beta, and Zeta Tau Alpha.
